I crank her up and she goes for about a minute then i get a "Criticly low battery... then she off to bed...

My Q's are... how do you tell if the battery is charging... I mean when shes off there is nothing on at all... even tho shes pluged in... nothing saying shes charging...
Im trying to figure out weather (sp) the power pac is the prob...

P.S. this is my first laptop...

232943 2004-04-29 21:57:00 There should be a "Charging" light going during the charge process. If you don't see that, then either the charger is not working or the internals of the computer are buggered somewhere around the power input circuits.

Have you checked the manual?

Cheers

It's probably a Lithium-ion battery, so very very fussy about charging. There will be a processor in the battery pack. There is usually a training procedure so the intelligent battery processor will know where it is.

It ought to run, whether the battery is low or not, as long as you are gettting power from the mains. It ought to run with the battery unplugged.

Have you given it a few hours plugged in,so the battery can get its first charge? With the battery removed, you might see a few LEDs on it. If there's a button beside them, pushing it should turn the "fuel gauge" on.
