I get a 128Mb bit of PC133 and the system spins up 52Mb and then hangs. i took it back and was told that the ram wont work in a PC100 system. i told the sales person that thats was not the problem as some of the ram did detect and that i thought that the RAM was bad. he told me that it wont work in the system because the new ram is single sided and the system must need double sided ram, i told him that this sounded like crap. he then told me that PC100 and PC133 are diffrent archtechure, i told him that as far as i know its just the speed that is diffrent. as the end of all this he gave me a 256Mb as a free upgrade. the 256 wont detect at all, the system just beeps like it has no ram. now what can i do? |
