| 233381 | 2004-05-04 05:31:00 | Probably like most people I get tired of playing just one genre of game and like variety. After/during a long haul RPG like Neverwinter Nights or Morrowind its nice to play a quick thrills racing game or FPS then into something in between such as RTS/TBS games or a lazy adventure or sim. I like strategy the most and especially like turn based as it requires a bit more brain power than those that test who can click the fastest. :-) | parry (27) | ||
| 233382 | 2004-05-05 22:10:00 | Hi Pete I'm actually running Win 98 SE. The game loads part of the way then freezes on one of the intro screens. I haven't even looked at it for a couple of years now but from memory, the only way to get out from there was turn the PC off. Couldn't even Ctrl Alt Del. I'll have a look at that link you provided and see if it offers any clues. Cheers |

| 233383 | 2004-05-05 23:15:00 | Believe it or not but my favorites are still Doom and Duke Nukem. Both DOS based but the run flawlessly with XP. And most importantly I can get right through them. I hate all the moden games. Too hard. I usualy try the demo versions on cover disks but they all beat me before I even get started. Just uninstalled Splinter Cell off this months CD. All I managed to do was fall off the roof evert time. Jack |

| 233384 | 2004-05-06 00:33:00 | JJJJJJJJJJ,get Serious Sam,its a no brain needed slaughter fest with awesome graphics, excellent weapons and the biggest baddest baddies this side of the mole on my back side. And its dirt cheap. Painkiller is another in the same vein, except you have to fight your way out of hell. |

Just curious Sorry mate - I can't even guess cos it's been quite a few years since I last played. Used to go WCT (World Challenge Tag) out Kumeu way (West West Auckland) ... ummm Riverhead Forest I think it was. I found a gun lying in the bush one day - it was a good thing! |

And metla, I agree with your comment about painkiller! I saw a review on gamer TV and there were these huge guys you had to fight and they said that wasn't even the boss! Then they showed a boss and it was huge!!! Like a freaking skyscraper! Looked angry too. But hey you'd be angry too if you were a giant and buckshot gave you itchy bites :D |
