233606 2004-05-02 05:44:00 Hi

I just borrowed a two axis two button joystick from a friend to play flight sims 2002 with it.

But it doesn't seem to work.

I connected to the 15 pin connect at the back of my computer and when i go to control panel and game controllers, it recognizes the joystick but says "not connected". When i double click on the where it says 2 axis 2 buton joystick it says "not connected properly and please plug it to your computer".

It doesn't work in flight sims either, i click on enable joystick, but how do configure the controls and make it work?

Please help on how to make this joystick work, does it need a driver? because my friend doesn't have a driver cd. If it does, where can i download it from?

Thanks

233607 2004-05-02 06:11:00 What OS are you using and what brand and model is the joystick? Have you checked out Control Panel > Game Controllers or Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager, look for yellow exclamation marks next to the device, double click and head for device drivers install/update let windows find them. If that doesn't work you'll probably have to download them.

Agree with Murray, go on line, locate Manual and your OS drivers for the joystick, it could be that the joystick just does'nt work with your OS. Some work OK in 98 but get indigestion in XP
