| 233510 | 2004-05-01 20:38:00 | morning all I've taken some video off a camera and dumped it to AVI through either Dr Divx or Ulead Movie Studio (ie tried two programs). I want to burn this to DVD but each time I try (and waste another DVD-r) the audio is out of sync. I initially used Ulead DVD Workshop 2 to write the DVD and after that didn't work a few times (out of snyc) I downloaded the trial version of Nero 6 and used Nero Visioneer (spelling? I'm at home the software is at work on my work PC) to author the DVD and nero went through and coded the AVI - but still out of sync after burning the DVD. After I used Nero it started off almost exactly in sync and I thought "Yes!" but by the end of the video (around 90 mins) the speech was about 1 1/2 seconds late... I've coded the AVIs with Divx 5 to keep the size down BTW. Out of desperation I used a 700MB AVI that wasn't taken from the camera but this had exactly the same result. If I watch the AVI on the PC the audio is perfect. I tried encoding the AVI using tmpeg software using the "DVD-PAL" option and if I do this and watch the mpeg file that is created the audio is fine also - but as soon as I burn to DVD, out of sync every time. Frustrasting and starting to get expensive... Any ideas gratefully accepted. |
