550 5.7.1 <xyz@xyz.net>... we do not relay <abc@abc.net>, account limits apply

The above message is all I receive when I am sending out going mails...I can receive incoming mails no problem (note the emails above have been changed!).

What is going on?

233554 2004-05-01 23:45:00 You can't send through a mail server unless your connection is with the the same outgoing server that is setup in Outlook
Go into the mail account and set the Outgoing server address (SMTP) to the correct one.
If your connection is with Xtra for instance you need to have the Xtra server address there smtp.xtra.co.nz even though you may be receiving mail from a non xtra account.
If you advise who your dialup or adsl connection is with we can advise the correct server address.

233555 2004-05-01 23:58:00 Nope, that is not the problem.....if I go into the send box and forward the unsent email to the original receiver then it works OK....it just does not work when you reply directly!!!! PJKing (2630)
233556 2004-05-02 00:20:00 Not quite sure what you are saying here.
If you forward an email you have to type in the address.
When you reply to an email it is sent to the address the sender has added.
Is the reply address incorrect. Do a reply and delete the address in the To field and type in the correct one and try that.

233557 2004-05-02 00:24:00 Tried that already....got the same reply....but when I go into the send box and forward the already sent (but stopped email) it works....this seems crazy to me also....but that is what is happening! PJKing (2630)
233558 2004-05-02 00:31:00 Check your outgoing mail server address, what is showing there and who are you connecting with. Jim B (153)
233559 2004-05-02 00:55:00 Whatever the problem was it has stopped now!.......any idea what " account limits apply" means? PJKing (2630)
