233953 2004-05-03 11:27:00 can I network windows xp home and windows 2000 machines through an adsl router? paulb (1103)
233954 2004-05-03 11:35:00 a bit more infomation would be nice...

short questions get short answers , yes you can.

do you mean that the two computers are in the same room/house and you want to use the router has a network hub?
or do you want to setup a WAN / VPN long distance network type thing?

built-in....so the short answer is yes.

233956 2004-05-04 08:54:00 umm, yes, but I'm no expert in these matters.
Both computers are in the same room - one a desktop (windows xp home), the other a laptop (windows 2000). the adsl router has 4 ports. i have tried to set up a network using windows network wizard, but seems i can not set up the windows 2000 machine this way. The main purpose of networking is to share the odd file, but mostly to share the printer (canon S330). Any help appreciated. Thanks.
