233934 2004-05-03 09:12:00 Welcome to pf 1

It is on the list.....

your post will only be on the top of the thread post list when you or someone else posting into it bumps it back up to the top.

not everyone may know the answer you seek, some people may not be on now, today or this week that know the information you seek.

but we at pf1 always try to help.

the post that has been replyed to last usually ends up on the top spot of the list.

this what you asking?

someone will answer hopefully

233937 2004-05-03 10:27:00 Hi folk

I think the answer to my question also lies in the probability that my post would not appear on my pc until a reply is posted ?

233938 2004-05-03 10:52:00 ajja your post should automatically go to top of page listings, unless other posts done at same time pop it down the thread.

when you hit post message it should always show up on the list at some point then.

if it doesnt it may not have got there. but it should always show up, somewhere in the line of things, are you absolutely certain it wasnt there????

did you refresh the main pf1 page or did you use the back button sometimes that does not get the page from the but gets it from cache which will not have your post on it . To refresh the page press the f5 key to force a complete refresh ctrl and f5

233940 2004-05-03 12:03:00 ajja - I think this is your "missing" post (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz), which I see you have managed to find again.

You may need to set your IE browser to check for newer versions of stored pages everytime under tools > options > general > Temporary Internet Files > Settings.

Your browser may not be refreshing the webpage for you, and you are only seeing the older webpage. Using the foward and back navigation arrow will only load webpages out of cache, and not display a newly loaded page for you. Another option is to hold the the CTRL key and then push the F5 key to force the webpage to freshly load. This will make the webpage display the latest version.
