| 234244 | 2004-05-04 08:35:00 | i did some updates on the work puter yesterday, said it installed and got stuck on install box, nothing seemed to be happening, even when disconected from net. it is still there today as i dont shut down this puter unless i do these updates, and i havent had a chance to do it today (shut down) but it has been closed (the window) and so when opens goes all funny - not all there like. and i just have it sitting in the tray, rest of comp seems to be working fine. the question i have is why did it not complete its install and shut down comp box? it seemed to download fine and install filled all the green bars fine just hung there for hours as i set it and left it running and came back to check lots... i presume if i shut down the minimised window will get closed but will the updates be installed do you think? please dont tell me it has a worm or something...... it does not run ZA on it. i am seriously thinking of putting it on..... beetle |

| 234246 | 2004-05-05 03:50:00 | Hi ya, thanxs beama, i had to give it three goes to get it to end task as it said it was still running????? CPU was running at 100% and is now running 0 - 2 % lol but wanted to also do a shut down to install the update i did from a disk and i cant get the call procesor (callista program ) to shut down so i cant shut it down.....??? so thats a no go one at moment. one thing fixed , thousands of others to go :D beetle |
