| 234160 | 2004-05-04 03:27:00 | ok new thread, i have still not fixed the startup popup problem but now for some reason i have a SD resident icon in my tray, saying 1163 processors blacklisted??? how did it do this and what sort of processors is it talking about???? am confuzzled have no idea what resident is or does, is this a setting i have clicked by accident???? ?:| beetle |

Change into Advanced Mode and there's an option somewhere to turn it off but it didnt seem to be working for me. These blacklisted items are simply spyware that you dont have to worry about any more because its preventing them :-) Chill. |

| 234166 | 2004-05-04 09:08:00 | LOL, no wasn't having you on. I have just upgraded to rc5. Found it was best to uninstall first and after then after a restart, I went into the program files directory and deleted the Spybot folder. Then I installed the new spybot program. Note: that on the install, one of the windows that comes up has 4 tick boxes. Just UNtick the 2 bottom ones (under the heading resident) and you should be fine. the only other thing was that on first startup of the program, I put it into advanced mode and then under the tools heading, I unticked the resident there as well.
