234134 2004-05-04 00:48:00 is it possible to change the way how emails are downloaded from the server?Im using paradise.Somehow for the past 5 days.Paradise has been giving me an extremely slow connection that i have never experienced before. My sister used her laptop and she has the same problem as i am.She used my paradise account and it took him an hour to download a 500kb email.I called paradise and they say that there's nothing wrong with paradise.

My sisters uses winxp while i use win 98se.She uses an internal modem and i use an external modem.HAs anyone of u notice a slow down of the net for the past few days?

If i get like 30 emails.Couple of them are about 200kb .Is it possible to download the smaller emails first and then tell outlook express to download the larger emails later?

I find that netscape runs faster than internet explorer

234135 2004-05-04 01:50:00 Paradise mail seems to get a lot of comments about problems on this forum so there may be an issue there that need to be taken up with Paradise.

I suggest you use Paradise Webmail to download larger messages, and save or open any attachments from there and then delete the message and go back to your normal mail program to download the other messages.

234136 2004-05-04 01:54:00 In OE go to Tools>Message Rules>Mail and set up a new rule for Message Size:-

New>Where the message size is more than size (tick)>Do not download from server (tick) . In the third field click on Size and set it to something like 25kb . Call it Message Size in the Name of Rule field down the bottom and click OK all the way out .

When you have received all the smaller emails go back and remove the tick from your new rule to allow the larger emails to come through .

Don't forget to go and re-tick it once you have received the big ones . ;-)

234137 2004-05-04 09:36:00 It's not just the mail the last few days, it is the whole web server. It has been shocking since about Sunday evening. Well that is down here anyway. Have checked all my settings in puter, thinking it was just me, then tried daughters puters, and they are just the same, slow as. supergran (108)
234138 2004-05-04 23:43:00 I have written a complain to paradise.

I even logged on to my friend's paradise account and i've complain using her account as well.
Whats up with paradise?Would it be because of a new virus around?
MY sister tried to download an email which was 500k.TOOK LIKE 1 HOUR AND STILL hasn't finish

My teacher today came and asked how was my internet connection with paradise because she is using paradise too.She gave up and now gonna disconnect paradise and go with xtra
