234749 2004-05-06 08:57:00 Just checked my internet speed on Jetstart using the link on Wolf's thread. Am told it is 262.4 which seems really good considering the plan is 256/128. It is amazing how quickly you get used (and critical) of it.
I remember when I was so amazed at the speed of faxes when they first came in - and a year later was thinking that I wished they could hurry up.
It is sad that we lose our wonder so quickly !

Feel for Wolf, he is frustrated - but at least he has Chill to give him such very good and very practical advice !

234750 2004-05-06 09:07:00 It is amazing isn't it, Misty? The speed I mean. :-)

A couple of months ago I went from below-average dialup speed onto the JetSurf plan and it still gives me a buzz watching files download ten times faster than they used to. It hasn't lost its wonder for me yet, probably because I suffered for so long. :D

234752 2004-05-06 09:41:00 Jetstart = 128kbs up. I take you mean Jetsteam or Jetsurf Misty? Anyway, I had a little tate of 2mbs download the other day and I want it. I thought it was good when I moved off dial up to 128kbs but step up to 2mbs and it blows you away.

Madame, there is something familiar about you that I can't quiet place ?:| ,,,,,, Noo, you'd be so lucky. Maybe it's your....Noo, then could it be....Na, surley not. Give us a clue, go on.

234753 2004-05-06 10:01:00 In your router/connection settings, log into the jetstream Games realm

Log in name: user@jetstreamgames.co.nz
Password: Leave as your normal password

then look here:

ftp://ftp2.jetstreamgames.co.nz/pub/

Browse through the folders, and watch a download at full speed. Then you'll want more than 256k all the time :)

The above link will also work when on dial-up, 128 or 256, but only at full speed if you change your router / connection settings. Plenty of games, movies, patches etc on there.
