234690 2004-05-06 10:53:00 Even though I am a new user of XP, I don't know about the PC Health, but anything I want to know about that is running on my puter, I put it into google, and do a search. I think that svchost thing is in mine too, but can't remember what it is connected to. I just checked, and I actually have four of them running at present, so guess it is connected to IE or something similar, as I have four windows open. supergran (108)

svchost.exe is an essential part of the OS and should never be deleted under any circumstances. Goto answersthatwork.com/ or http: to read about it. Multiple instances of svchost.exe is normal.

Here's an extract from www.informit.com

PCHEALTH. Contains files and subfolders to support the Microsoft Help Center Service. These files support all the Windows XP Help services, including features such as Remote Desktop Assistance

Good luck
