| 234932 | 2004-05-07 07:40:00 | Okay, I have got win2000 installed. And im loving it! Detected everything sweet as. Only thing i had to install is the microsoft intellieye optical mouse programme. Detected my tnt2 pci sweet. I am indeed loving this. Also i downloaded sp4 the other day in anticipation for win2k and it went sweet. |

| 234933 | 2004-05-07 21:32:00 | O . k, I really love win2k now . How much of a catastrophe would it be if i "copy and pasted" winnt folder onto c: drive and then moved win98 to the other hdd? Very risky i know . Also if was to "upgrade" win98 how much more effective might this be? |

Dont bother trying it, its not worth the hassle You could still upgrade your Win98 but then you'd have two copies of Win2k on the system, so I wouldnt bother personally. If you really like it that much, sort out your HDD's, do a full backup of everything, then format the lot and put Win2K on it! Otherwise, make do with it as is for the time being. You've given it 12 hours, Im sure you're going to want Win98 at some stage over the next few days, so give it a bit of time to get used to first. I was just the same when I first tried Win2k over Win98.... ...Then I saw the light and tried linux ;-) Chill. |
