Trade price varies, they normally list a price for a single item, then a price for lots of 5 or so,if you want more you can negotiate a price but they usually want you to be talking in orders of 100 items or more otherwise they refer you to the 5+ price.Either way there is only 1 or 2 dollars in it each way. I have a realitivly low turnover and have settled on 5 or 6 suppliers, you do notice that if you don't order off a company for awhile they tend to stop sending out the specials and take there time in processing orders. When i first started i aproached a number of companies, some welcomed me in right away and as long as the service is good i have channeled 90 percent of my money through them, others(the big time outfits) presented with with all sorts of crap(golden leaf for example) so i didn't bother, then a year down the line these same companies invite me onto their books,i get their pricelists and they are no cheaper or in many cases more expensive. Computer depot 2000 for example, made me jump through hoops, and their prices were near on what i was selling the gear for. For software try Software solutions they have everything and do some niche items of hardware as well, they are i believe a distributer for Reniasonce(who have never returned a single email of mine) No spellchecker on this puter, those that want to stroke their ego's by pointing out my errors go right ahead. |

I agree 100%. If you want to Retail then find a wholesaler who will supply parts WHOLESALE!!! Now this may mean that you buy CPUs, Motherboards, RAM, Hard drives etc by the dozens or more to get the wholesale price. There is a change Metla. I agree with your post. |

Dornwell sent me offers early. Now I don't get any pricelists at all. This I think is because I have not ordered anything from them although it was easy to set up an account. Once again Metla I agree! In my case I buy from a Retailer from which I get a 10% discount due to volume. Two days ago I had to return a Motherboard and I have a replacement today. Arrived by Courier this morning. Warranty isuues come to mind here too. As I buy from a retailer and keep very good records anything that may go wrong only costs my labour. > > When i first started i aproached a number of > companies, some welcomed me in right away and as long > as the service is good i have channeled 90 percent of > my money through them, others(the big time outfits) > presented with with all sorts of crap(golden leaf for > example) so i didn't bother, then a year down the line > these same companies invite me onto their books,i get > their pricelists and they are no cheaper or in many > cases more expensive. > > Computer depot 2000 for example, made me jump through > hoops, and their prices were near on what i was > selling the gear for. > > For software try Software solutions they have > everything and do some niche items of hardware as > well, they are i believe a distributer for > Reniasonce(who have never returned a single email of > mine) > > No spellchecker on this puter, those that want to > stroke their ego's by pointing out my errors go right > ahead. > |

| 234603 | 2004-05-07 21:28:00 | For small business then I suggest have a talk to Arche Technologies. They supply me and I find their prices are generally on par with most of the others and often cheaper than Tech Pacific who I now refuse to deal with due to the fact they offer no service or support to speak of. Arche are helpful and friendly and their staff are great to talk too and no I don't work there lol. If you have faulty parts or a problem then they will bend over backwards to help basically. Monaco are now suppliers for Ubisoft Games ( farcry etc) and often you will find alternative suppliers for various brands of software. |
