www.oh-bugger.net.nz

you will see how to send a file to any program, lets say you
have a file like index.html you can send it to a browser or a
word editor like notepad,

But this is for windows 98, how do you do it with windows XP?
I am dammed if I can find the "send to" folder like windows 98 has.

234514 2004-05-05 08:41:00 The Send To folders (there are several) are hidden so you will need to enable viewing of all files in Windows Explorer's Folder options. Once all files are showing do a search on your C: drive for SendTo to locate them or go to C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\SendTo.
Place your shortcut to the program you require into that folder as for Windows 98.

234515 2004-05-05 22:04:00 A good tip when you find it is to Place a shortcut to the Send to folder in the Send To folder. Now if you want to add an item to the Send To menu, all you need to do is right-click it, and send it there using the Send To menu!
