1340389 2013-05-09 07:09:00 Hi all,
Both NZ Herald and Stuff appear to be locked in to a survival game and play it safe when it comes to criticism of the Govt. Are there any truth-speaking alternative news sites/blogs in NZ?

Cheers.

Alternatively perhaps turn to international sites that feature NZ content, since most NZ news outlets aren't going to criticize bugger all.

1340392 2013-05-09 07:37:00 You could try the BBC (www.bbc.co.uk). On the left-hand side of the search results page are specific topic links. And you can do sub-searches, eg Politics, National Party etc. Greg (193)

The government needs praise!

The rest of the western world has huge government debt ratios and double digit unemployment.

(And they did not have a Christchurch sized earthquake to contend with)

They are all borrowing and lending money they don't have to each other.

And many of them are printing money - think Germany 1930's

if you like hard hitting economic news not from the mainstream try
