1340048 2013-05-07 09:15:00 What the the warehouse like with returns?

I just bought a pair of in-ear earphones, the same brand and visually almost completely identical to my previous ones (which one channel has died). I get home, expecting to continue on as usual and no, they sound absolutely atrocious, completely unlistenable. the bass is gone, no high end, and the midrange is jacked up soo high it hurts my ears. I can't even fix it with the eq in foobar2000.

How do i go with returning these. I've got the receipt. They'res something wrong, as they honestly unlistenable. My previous pair sound perfect.

1340049 2013-05-07 09:20:00 As long as you have the receipt you should be fine. Take them back, tell them the problem and they should replace them.

We had problems with some electronic devices, -- or more to the point it was false advertising, they changed for another, but after 3 replacements all the same we got a full refund.

1340050 2013-05-07 09:21:00 Shouldn't be a problem. No questions, at any branch, with your receipt.

PM me if that's not the case.

1340051 2013-05-07 09:28:00 Their dont allow returns of jewellery due to hygiene reasons(presuming for earrings). We tried with a necklace and was told no. So in ear headphones, I'm not sure if their would or not plod (107)

The problem is I think it could be just the product itself, as the new ones have thinner wire, and different port holes in the ear things, but the box is the same. Honestly though, i'm not just being a snobby audiophile, these things would make any lover of music feel like their ears were being drilled out. I know they were only $15, but they're not doing their job which is to let someone listen to music.

Well my ears are clean, and they only went in once and still look spotless. And also they're the ones with the roundie things, so the plastic doesn't actually touch the ear.

Are they actually faulty ?
Are they just a cheap, low quality product ?

If there's a fault then they may simply change them, if they are just low quality -- its tough luck .

When you say "The new ones" were the old ones the same brand, model etc ?

As Plod mentioned there may be health reasons they wouldn't change them .

Well my ears are clean, and they only went in once and still look spotless That may be the case but if its policy then its policy .

Some items simply wont / cant be exchanged if opened .

1340056 2013-05-07 10:01:00 Take them back -- the worst they are gonna say is no. I would suspect they will try another pair to compare at least. wainuitech (129)
