Looks like corrupt files may have caused this prob. Did a sfc / scannow it found corrupt files. Rebooted, it installed IE 11 fine. Uninstalled some programs some were adware. I'm going to install malwarebytes and do a full scan. I would say this laptop has a hardware fault. Since, it was showing Whea-logger stop errors in event viewer. This is hardware related, or maybe a faulty CPU. It can also be caused by a feature in the BIOS (like caching or something). It maybe buggy or something
Atm, Mbam has picked up 12 objects. So, you've probably installed something that has installed adware / malware. Have to wait till it finishes |
