1340083 2013-05-09 01:04:00 I meant "human rights violation" specifically from Zara. What sort of abuse did you endure to build such a grudge. pablo d (15490)
1340084 2013-05-09 01:27:00 Just her incessant knowing everything, maybe you have a wife of similar ilk, quite in tolerable to me.

Was I right about you left lean.?

1340085 2013-05-09 01:33:00 Centre-left I guess. The greens need to pull their head out of their ass and labour needs to don a pair of testicles, but yeah I wouldn't brake if I saw John Key crossing the street. pablo d (15490)
1340086 2013-05-09 01:57:00 It's the philosophy I subscribe to, certainly not Key.

The idea of self reliance.

If you want to eat, I believe you should be prepared to sweep the streets if necessary, lefties think they are (owed a living.
)
It all started in England when they thought the poor should be helped, which we all agree with, but now we have a culture as described above.

And what part of "self reliance" did the $1.7b SCF bailout fall under? Or does that ideology only apply to poor people, not corporations?

I agree the implementation of Social Welfare may be flawed in this country, but not the intent. I'm happy for my income tax to go towards Social Welfare if it's used appropriately - it makes the country a better place to live in and thus raises my quality of living.

1340088 2013-05-09 02:26:00 a bit more on topic i guess, I can't believe they effectively copy paste articles from the US publication. Actually wait, I can.
I just wish they wouldn't.
A discussion of why it's not possible to build a cheap gaming rig for US prices would be a neat article to see.
Perhaps one that suggests a minimum price point for a windows build, then going on to detail a linux gaming build, going on to detail the benefits of humble bundles, the development of steam on linux and the existing linux gaming scene.

These guys work for PC world. They theoretically should be really into working with PC's and sharing what they find with their readers.
Not so much passing on what the US writers have already found out when it doesn't even apply without modification.

As a side note, this is pretty much what could convince me to buy a magazine again. Hell, with the money I used to spend on them I could've build a PC I reckon.

1340089 2013-05-09 05:07:00 Nah mostly they're journalists who happen to talk about tech things. That's why I spend a lot of time following the likes of The Verge.. They're techies turned journalists, not the other way around ;)

I'd be interested in jotting down some thoughts on gaming on Linux, that's not a bad idea actually, sharing some pitfalls and gotchas etc.... Think that's a good idea for my next blog post now, thanks! :D

1340090 2013-05-09 05:43:00 you're very welcome.
If you'd care to perhaps mention your linux OS of choice that'd also be quite useful.. I have ubuntu 12.04 LTS i think on my old system, it didn't take mint too well (something about the gui repeatedly crashing, plus a few kernel panics during installs)
Shame it can't actually run tf2 very well. I'd install on one of my other machines but I like keeping my experience streamlined to one OS.
