2013-05-10 06:13:00 | Ive had nothing but trouble with Vodafail both sides of the ditch, but it is easier to sort in Aus because they have a Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) whose department seems to have real teeth. So far I have won all my disputes, but Ill never forget one for shear arrogance. Vodafail offered me $100 worth of calls to settle a dispute. I accepted and I thought that was the end of it, but blow me down a week later my $100 had gone. So naturally I got on their tail only to be told that my $100 worth of calls had to be made in a week and the use it or loose it policy had kicked in and my $100 had gone. Well, did that get me going so off back to the TIO. Next thing I get a note from Vodafail advising they had reconsidered and would like to give me back my $100 of free calls, how long would I like to have to spend it? 12 months I responded and you can add another $100 for the additional inconvenience. Certainly Sir came the reply. Well I thought they still got off light, but the matter was resolved. Not in your Nellie. I then find I cant use the phone or my $200 because Vodafail coverage up the East Coast of Queensland is so P..s Poor. If you ever go to the Glasshouse Mountains Pub you will see guys standing on the berm under a tree talking on their mobiles. For some reason the only coverage in the area is under this damn tree and as a bonus the local birdlife inhabit this tree and disturbing them by making mobile calls ensures their wrath and youll be shat on from a great height. Its character building stuff dealing with Vodafail. :D

2013-05-10 07:21:00 | I'll stick with Sling your ook till CS starts up. Yeah I'm working on that mate ;) Will only be VDSL2 though, so a bit of a premium price (But still incredibly competitive with ADSL2+), however speed and customer service will be top notch ;)

2013-05-10 08:56:00 | so far we have only had good service with vodafone, this is our second stint with them, the first 6 years or so ago was trouble free too | gary67 (56) | |
2013-05-10 21:13:00 | I love that you can blaze past your bandwith limit by about 6GB before their systems slow you down. Back in the days of an 8GB cap it was like getting 80% for free. | Paul.Cov (425) | |
2013-05-10 23:49:00 | Back in the Ihug days it was done when your router reconnected, so provided you didn't disconnect you could keep surfing happily and not get capped... That was fun :D | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
