| 1361067 | 2013-11-28 22:31:00 | Hi guys I am trying to help a friend with Outlook 2013 We cannot send and receive emails as the status bar says we are working Off Line. But there is no way I can find an option to change to Online. Any suggestions? It used to be so easy. |

| 1361068 | 2013-11-28 23:30:00 | corrupt OST probably, but here's most possibilities .. 1. Lync was overriding Outlook. In this case, please close down Lync, ensuring it was not running in background (in Task Manager making sure that the communicator file wasn't running), then restart Outlook and check the result. If problem solved, you can restart Lync without problem. 2. Just check if you have set your IE to work offline. (On the IE Menu Bar > click File > uncheck Work offline ) 3. The OST file might be corrupted. Please follow the steps below and check the result: a. Exit Outlook. You'll need to check in the Task Manager to make sure that Outlook is closed. (To open Task Manger: Right click on the Windows Task Bar and choose "Start Task Manager") b. Find OST file and rename it. OST file could be found here: In Windows 7 or Windows 8: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outloo k In Windows XP : C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook c. Open Microsoft Outlook. If Outlook is running in Offline mode then Go to Send/ Receive button and click Work Offline. It will change to online mode. New OST file will be created and issue will be hopefully resolved. source social.technet.microsoft.com |
