1340359 2013-05-09 01:36:00 3rd world country = 3rd world health care
waiting time expectation from that hosiptal
"... six-hour expectation in an emergency department" Thats a shocker.

OK maybee NZ isnt quite 3rd world, but thats the direction it heading. I guess if hospitals cant afford/retain more staff its going to happen.
Just the way it is. Nothing new.

1340360 2013-05-09 02:48:00 I cannot see anything wrong with that. The patient in the end discharged himself. In the last 6 years I have been taken by ambulance to our hospitals A&E department and spent about 6 or so hours in there both times while they did tests on me before I was admitted into the hospital.

1340362 2013-05-09 04:42:00 Just remember the staff at the hospital are all volunteers . If they were being paid the minimum wage or above, there might be room for complaint, however, they're only practicing . . . R2x1 (4628)
