234966 2004-05-07 02:44:00 Hi all,

I'm wanting to use an ink-jet colour printer to print directly onto low-run white-surfaced CDs.

Can anyone recommend printers that will do this type of work?

Many thanks :: John

234967 2004-05-07 02:48:00 All three the models in this review come with attachments for printing onto CDs:

Canon fires salvo (www.pcworld.co.nz)
Biggles (121)

Is the printing on your CDs waterproof? I've heard some inks apparently are not, which would be an absolute bummer when folks go to wash their CDs :).

234971 2004-05-07 03:39:00 I would doubt whether it was waterproof as the printable cd's that I purchased really just have a paper printing surface applied .

Not sure why you would want to wash a cd, I just clean the read surface with cloth .

234972 2004-05-07 04:57:00 Have you seen those new CD Drives that can do it for you? They have a laser thing that burns the image onto the CD. You just have to remember to turn it over, so it doesnt draw a pretty picture over all your data. mejobloggs (264)
234973 2004-05-07 05:04:00 Yes - I've seen that. What they don't tell you is it takes anywhere between 40 mins to 60 mins to burn one! braindead (1685)
