I mean so many times people get instant answers to questions on the forums back and forth that it's like rather weird that you're basically just talking really through the board. I think that this place really should get an irc chatroom as well. It'd be an awesome add-on and the best first line of help. If no1 was on then you could revert to the message boards. Comments? Opinions? |

I find that there aren't too many people who regularly use IRC; the chatroom is web-based, so you don't need special software for it, you just browse to the site. Mike. |

| 235164 | 2004-05-08 06:24:00 | why not have a link for chatf1 up by the "my settings" or something? pc worlds press f1 would get new users, and get a chance to re-advertise for subscriptions etc, have a one off prize every now and then in the online chat section for "answer this techie question first" etc. the only problem with it is that maybe an online chat would kill the forum? and you'd get alot of people who sign up just for the answer they need and offer nothing in return ie help someone else etc. :) |
