| 235115 | 2004-05-07 22:03:00 | I'm using a Samsung CD-R/RW SW-240D CD Drive, with XP. I've recently recovered from a system crash and now find that I can't burn CDs - I get the messages 'medium speed error' & 'invalid write state'. Have tried reloading drivers for the CD drive, but this hasn't made any difference. Also, the drive does not appear to recognise files which have been burnt to CD on another machine - it thinks the disk is blank. What do I need to do to resolve these problems - any advice much appreciated! Thanks |

Given that I haven't changed any settings on the CD Drive, could this indicate some sort of hardware fault with the drive - though it does appear to read software disks etc perfectly OK ...? Cheers TimK |
