| 235619 | 2004-05-11 03:21:00 | hi, i noticed a strange thing with our computer today. the computer was off, then it randomly started up. sometimes i will find the computer on when im sure i shut it down but as others live here too, they may have been using it. but this time nobody switched it on so i dont know whats up. i have spy bot and ad-aware and AVG running and up to date, aswell as the windows updates. any ideas? dave. |

| 235620 | 2004-05-11 03:30:00 | i would bit that your computer starts up when every the phone rings. :-) this this a feture call "wake on ring" look at the settings for your modem to see where to turn it off, oit may be writen simply as WOR the other place that you might look for the setting is either in power managment or in BIOS under power settings. |
