| 235454 | 2004-05-10 04:00:00 | Hi We are constantly having @xtra.co.nz mail bounced back to us. I have checked with xtra who only response has been 'It's OK our end'. Orcon our isp have no issues. We run mdaemon as an internal mail server. | 235458 | 2004-05-10 04:26:00 | No they are our own emails. Not worm generated. Yes we were aware of the problems xtra has had over the last 2 weeks. Yet we are still having problems with @xtra addresses or .co.nz adresses hosted by xtra. If it is not xtra can it be anything in our setup? |

| 235459 | 2004-05-11 01:51:00 | Does your mail server relay outbound mail off an orcon smtp server, or does it deliver directly? I suspect you deliver directly. If you have a terminal available on your mailserver, then try using it to telnet to port 25 on mta.xtra.co.nz. If not then configure your firewall to allow a client PC to connect outbound on port 25, and use that client to telnet and see if it is sucessful. If not then do a nslookup and check to see that you can find the mx record for xtra.co.nz. If you can resolve the name then do a tracert to the host to check there is a route. |
