235424 2004-05-10 00:10:00 just saw the funnest thing i have seen on TV in years!!!

it is an infomercial on TV3 at 10:30 today for a digital camra.

a cool three in one, super small , very high quality digital camra.

as small as a credit card, as light a a box of matches, comes with image editing software, and a free USB cable worth $20.

they dont say exacly what resolution is can do but they do point out that you dont even need extra memory cards, it has 8Mb built right in!! and no you cant use memory cards.......

the funnest part is when they open it up and show how it look like the inside of a computer and that why its such good quality.

all this for $119

but you can also use it as a web cam, or a digital movire camra (10 seconds of movie)

it looks like plastic crap and it is just funny how they try and tell you how it is so much better then "all those expencive digital camras"

235425 2004-05-10 00:28:00 Pretty sure thats the same infomercial i saw awhile back, just tracked down this post i made a couple months ago....

as far as small cameras are concerened,i just sat through an infomercial on this one

Tiny Camera (www.thane.com)

Pure comedy, they made a big deal out of the included usb cable, mentioning the cable alone may retail for 20 to 30 dollars(us dollars even)They took the worst photo's i could imagine then gushed over them with pure love,Then they showed off the software,so easy anybody could use,.....apart from the presenter that is,whose efforts were quickly edited out.

Then we got a shot of a model using a laptop while floating in a SWIMMING POOL on an inflatable chair.Don't try that at home kids,Anti-smacking laws won't help if you drop the laptop in the swimming pool.

Lmao.

so small it fits on your keyring.....

"It is equipped with 16 MB of ROM making the possibilities and performance of your camera truly fantastic"

what is the use of 16Mb of ROM?? surly they what to say 16MB of RAM

and yes the laptop in the pool did make me look twice.

235427 2004-05-10 02:01:00 No steak knives thrown in?

Mind you if 16mbs that's probably equiv to a 256 card on a std model!

235428 2004-05-10 02:08:00 why would you want stake knives? you got them last year.

for the first 10 callers you get a crap carry case that hangs on your belt!
and a copy of the easy to use image editing software (why pay $500, when ours is crap)

It will take the pictures. But they will be pitch black."

235433 2004-05-10 02:37:00 If they get a few dumb fools it will be worth it.

There is another ad that i saw a month ago that is a digital camera that converts the images to video errr yes on a vcr.

Same sort of dumb price, plus you cant print them out, just saves them to video tape so you can send it to your grandma,
What a shame since video players are dead
