| 235985 | 2004-05-11 23:05:00 | Just added a CD-Writer to a Compaq Presario 5300 for the sister-in-law. Cleaned up the dust mountain inside and installed/ran AdAware & Spybot so detecting/cleaning out 60-odd pieces of spyware etc. Tested and everything running okay so gave it back to her. Now she's getting error messages on boot up and PC starting in safe mode plus no mouse cursor showing. Error messages displaying are: "Rftray has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL Rftray will now close." & "Qttask has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL Qttask will now close". Haven't had a chance to look at the PC again yet but can't think what the problem could be -- any suggestions. Perhaps I shouldn't have cleaned out all the dust!! |
