| 235730 | 2004-05-11 06:00:00 | The NSWSETUP.EXE file I believe is the installer file. Won't NSW install from the auto-run menu when you insert the CD? If you are getting problems with the installer, you can try to copy the entire CD to a temporary directory on the hard drive and try running the installer from there. | Jen C (20) | ||

I would also consider taking NSW back to the shop from where you purchased it, and exchange it for another disk as the one you have could be faulty if you are unable to install the programs. This is a clean installation you are trying to do? |

If it is legitimate you may be able to seek assistance and obtain another copy from the NZ Symantec office . If it is a pirated copy then this forum cannot provide assistance . |

| 235737 | 2004-05-11 06:39:00 | So what does happen when you just insert the CD or right-click on the CD drive icon under My Computer and select Auto-Play? If you are getting a DOS window opening, it sounds like you have might have the wrong file to launch setup (my NSW 2003 installer is called SETUP.EXE) and is in the root directory of the CD. Have you been able to install other software OK using .exe's? |
