thats cause it was there on the 05-11-2004. i waited till it was on the opera homepage in case they did a last minute bug fix release.

236380 2004-05-13 12:24:00 I saw it on Major Geeks but also that it was not on Opera, so presumed it was still the beta.

Couldn't wait, so ran it up ! Indeed looks different..

236381 2004-05-13 23:23:00 Yes, a very nice improvement, not that Opera needed that much improving. So here's my problem.
How do I get my bookmarks back (which I neglected to copy and save due to my haste) that I had in 7.23 please.

236383 2004-05-13 23:52:00 Hi team

whats the best way to install 7.5, over the top of 7.23 or do a clean install.
In a clean install does one delete the 7.23 version then install 7.5.

Thanks

236384 2004-05-14 00:19:00 it is safer to clean do a clean install (opera default) but over the top seems to work ok as it automaticly imports everything and the non-compatable stuff (eg skins) are set to default.

to do a clean install simply intall 7.5 in a new folder. eg old ver is default install is in programfiles/opera7 while 7.5 default is programfiles/opera75.

enjoy :)

236385 2004-05-14 00:44:00 Have been running version 7.5 since yesterday morning and have found the improvements very good. My only gripe is that one of my major customisations is not working as well as the previous version but I can live with it.

Capt. Hook: Did you install over your previous version or uninstall the old one first? If you didn't save your opera6.adr file then your bookmarks are gone. :-(

If you did save it then just replace that file in your Profile folder.

Merlin: I would recommend letting Opera install itself to a different folder (ie Opera75) rather than an over-the-top installation because it appears that some features are not properly updated otherwise.
