| 236365 | 2004-07-23 02:31:00 | Ok. new update, Hubby rang..... we thought it best not for me to ring them....... but strangulation of the phone / hubby was possible - while having me stand over him while he negotiated with the lady on the other end. while i paced back and forth and made some vigorous arm gestures......... if you can my meaning. aparently it is on the ship due to dock tomorow. they will confirm on unpack on sunday, and courier mon / tue. he said if not here by Tuesday he is going to Auck and will resolve the issue himself. sigh. im never buying another product of this sort again, especially not local. im amazed i have any hair left at the moment. still will beleive it when i see the beeped thing though. i have lost faith in the system. beetle |

If they are still delaying then I suggest you contact the retailer and state the time period you have had to wait for a faulty product and that you wish either a refund OR replacement unit forthwith as you have given them ample opportunity to repair the unit and this has not been done in a timely manner as per the Consumer Guaranties Act which DOES apply to all goods sold by a retailer in New Zealand. Evevn though it may take a little longer, reinforce this with a letter including a timeline with the date of the original failure etc and all your attempts at contatcing and resolving the issue. Be polite but firm in your wording. Contact Citizens Advice for some more info on the CGA also. If they still delay then take it further and Citizens Advice will be able to tell you how to do this. Hey ya Elephant. Sorry its been so long replying to your earlier posts but with the new job I have been taking a sort of sabbatical from the PC. That and the new baby is less than a month away combined with me dad in hospital in the waikato has meant very very little time to actually have my own free time. The good news is that Dad goes home on monday and the wife is no longer complaining TOO much about the "devil spawn" she has growing inside her. Either that or I am slowly going deaf lol. |
