236960 2004-05-16 09:31:00 Well, one day i was trying to install xandros of a cd i got from a mag, i didnt really work, and then from then on, my modem will conect to the internet, but not load any pages or do anything. A whole pile of activity happens, but nothing I want. It is as if the modem is getting flooded with do much crap that it an't do what I want, but i dont know. So, any help ould be very much apprecciated. On another hand, when I tried to format my hard drive (C:) in the XP's disk thingy, it says that I cannot format removable media, but it is a damn hard drive?! HELP Madcat (5098)
236961 2004-05-16 10:49:00 Madcat - you don't normally format a partition that is currently in use in any OS. Can't remember the exact details but boot from your XP disk and start a new install - at some stage you should be able to format the target partition.

However if the only reason you are doing this is because your modem does not seem to be working would probably be an overkill. Have you tried removing your modem from the system, reinstalling the hardware then the software (drivers) and settings?
