236855 2004-05-15 11:24:00 Everytime I send an email of over 100kbs ie one little phota --- I get a message after 1 minute that informs me that the task was unable to be completed as a time out error on my server pop 3 occured. The task progress line stops at about 90%. Interestingly the email does actually go out, but remains in the OUTBox.
Programme is OUTlook EXPRESS --- IP is Xtra. I have looked about for boxes to untick and adjust --- Any ideas?

236856 2004-05-15 12:08:00 have you tried this

In Outlook Express, click on Tools and then Accounts. With your pop3 xtra.co.nz email account selected, click on Properties. Under the Advanced tab, change the Server Timeouts slider to Long (5 minutes). Click on OK and then Close.

236858 2004-05-16 19:33:00 I used to get this a lot on xtra. Rang the help desk oneday and complained cos everything I sent over 150kb would time out, call centre dude said either get broadband or use webmail to upload attachments. Switched to clear a few weeks ago and it is no longer an issue

Cheers

236859 2004-05-17 07:28:00 I'm with Paradise and experiencing the very same problem. I've just changed that setting and am trying yet again to send a 1.2MB Word document (with editing changes). Fingers crossed!

I'll be really peeved if they are doing this to force people to change to Broadband - we live in the country and unfortunately don't have that option.

If I have to send everything away on disk, I won't be impressed.
