236841 2004-05-15 10:37:00 Gidday, just recently I have had these IE error reports come up (after the hard drive is very active):
APP NAME: iexplore.exe
APPCER: 6.0.2800.1106
MODNAME: msjava.dll

I need to restart IE after the error comes up and often things will freeze.
It asks me if I want to send an error report to microsoft, but I am not sure if it is "safe". These error reports seem to be increasing in frequency.

Any help/ideas appreciated
cheers
Nath

236842 2004-05-15 10:42:00 have you tried giving the drive a defrag, or scanned for errors? Megaman (344)
236843 2004-05-15 15:03:00 Sending the error report sends supposedly annonymous information to help MS find and fix bugs.

Whether it works or not is a completely different story.

It's having issues with msjava.dll by the looks, maybe the Microsoft Java VM for your machine is damaged.

Might be worth going to http://www.java.com and downloading the latest version of the Java VM from Sun.

Usual story to go to Windows Update etc and make sure all thats up to date etc etc

I second that. Microsofts version of Java VM tends to go funny at times ...

i went to java.com and it took me to a java plugin available for download (1.4.2 04) - is that what I am after??
After downloading from Sun would I need to change any of my IE java settings.
