Yes by golly, and proof has been a long time coming. Who'd have thought a modest, well-mannered, sensible, (I could go on) computer forum in the South Pacific would be the locus for a quantum hic-cough!

Well, I must toddle off and let Stephen Hawking know.

PS: I'll leave it to Young Tom to contact Paul Holmes B-)

237250 2004-05-18 06:12:00 Hi Vince

As you can probably guess by now from the other posts, life indeed still does go on here ... :)

Your browser is not displaying fresh or reloading the pages for you so they appear very out of date. As Chill has mentioned, you may have your browser and the PF1 bookmark set to work offline. You should also empty out your temporary internet files so that the old pages are not being displayed out of the cache (where copies of pages viewed are stored on your computer). Hitting CTL-F5 once PF1 is loaded will also force your browser to display the latest page.

Hope this helps :)

237251 2004-05-18 08:07:00 How is Vince going to see these suggestions? Unless someone snags his email off his member details and points him in the right direction ... or he has it set up to receive update emails he may realise something's amiss....

Hey Vince, ya there??????????

237252 2004-05-18 08:20:00 I have just phoned Vince, because I noticed from his details that he lives in Chch, same as me. Luckily there was only two options to choose from and the first one was him. I told him to delete his temp internet files and to check that he is not browsing off-line. He said he has just got a new computer with WinXP and is not familiar with it. He says he will post again later on tonight.

So wait with baited breath.

Rob.

Refreshments? Who's buying?

I don't know what happened, but some kind soul phoned and suggested that I clean out my internet cache; I did and I can see you all again now.

I think you nearly guessed it, I used my 'Infinite Improbablity Drive'.

237255 2004-05-18 09:55:00 What browser? I would check the cache settings in the options area. You probably have it set to only load from the cache or something. kiki (762)
