You're probably best going with a third party solution that you can download then upload to your server. There are several free carts that you can get - eg Agora, OS Commerce, CubeCart. They're relatively simple to configure with experience, but can be a bit bewildering at first. To complete a secure online ordering facility, you need as mentioned access to a SSL secured server - maybe your ISP or webhost offers a shared one for free. Again there are third party free SSL servers out there, but finding a reputable one can be a mission, although they are out there. Of course the above assumes you have database facilities on the server you use and the ability to run scripts. |
