237795 2004-05-20 01:07:00 Hey. Just a little problem. Every time I restart window XP (pro) or log out and back in, internet explorer resets its home page to some adware (i think) page. I have used Ad Aware 6 professional, Spy Bot 1.3 and Hijack this! (i think its called that) and deleted everything i think i could be but yet it is still happening. Any ideas? I have also looked in the processes that are being run and also in the "MSCONFIG" startup menu and there is nothing. JamesStewart (874)
237796 2004-05-20 02:59:00 What is the address your homepage is being reset to. Jim B (153)
237797 2004-05-20 03:00:00 Just in case you do not already know how to set home page, go to tools/internet options/general, type in there.

Just out of curiosity are you setting your home page as google? if so check that you have spelt it correctly because spelling it goggle will take you to a crap site.

Other than spyware scanning I cannot help, sorry.

I am changing back to http://www.google.co.nz all the time and it works until I restart or log off.

237801 2004-05-20 03:23:00 Yep, seems to have worked. It might have been that program OR I went into regedit and searched for that site and deleted both keys in the registry that had that site in it (was a search somthing and search bar). So all good now, thanks :D JamesStewart (874)
237802 2004-05-20 06:04:00 The best thing I ever did was to get rid of IE and OE when I built my new PC :)

Mozilla Thunderbird and Firefox suit me down to the ground :)
