237715 2004-05-19 04:32:00 Hi fellow F1ers,

I have been trying to find a "something" that will enable me to make my screensaver transparent.

I have nvidia's latest drivers which allows me to create transparent windows, but I can not find a way to do it for the screensaver.

But I have found lousy screensavers with the falling leaves and such. I want to use my own personal screensaver and make it transparent.

I just don't wanna have to turn off the screensaver to check if I received any IMs or email etc.

Thanks

237716 2004-05-19 04:40:00 I believe that modern day monitors don't need screensavers any more, also not having screensavers saves valuable disk space. I haven't used screensavers for a few years and in fact don't even have any installed any more. cadifan (286)

Also, maybe a another idea is something that could put the computer half to sleep. You know when the computer sleeps, the screen turns off but the computer is still running. How about something that will make the screen dim (as a screensaver)

237718 2004-05-19 05:31:00 Power Settings in the Control Panel allow you to set the time delay after which the monitor will turn off. POTUS (5276)
