You're probably right there... > Frankly I don't know why school kids need cell > phones. Working in the city at the age of 15, I was attacked for money a number of times. The security of a cellphone alone makes it worthwhile > Instead of texting their class mates they should be > paying attention in class and learning something so > they can get a job to earn their own money to buy and > operate their own bloody phone. Which explains why Ive been paying for my own Cellphone since before I finished school, because I have a permanent Full-Time Job.. I think not. Lay off the disrespect for those who are keen to embrace newer technologies than pen-and-paper! Chill. |

So she's learning nothing but texting! How can a school child afford to buy a cell phone? Mum & dad buy it for them. Probably for security reasons. If they were just used for security reasons I'd give everyone a cell phone in school, but they are used mainly for status and communicating with school friends, not parents, when they should be studying. As for your last comment I don't disrespect those who embrace newer technologies, I bought a video recorder when they were first releast, I've had cell phones for about 10 years, then computers and internet, DVD and so on. My comment meant they shouldn't be taking cellphones to school and concentrating on them instead of learning. |

And its always handy to have a copy of Tom Rader or other assorted java games installed, especially during compliance lectures :D |
