Or you could let them get a nights rest and pop into ChatF1 instead ;), we havent had any 'real' downtime in the last year :), (just 5 mins here and there when I've been updating things ;\).

237866 2004-05-20 14:14:00 I just want to say thanks to the tech goys who did this today - having a good reason tonight to be grateful to unseen workers.

Yes, when I hit Favourites a few minutes ago, I was still a Guest, but I logged on fine straight after.

And the reason I want to thank them is that I spent today at Dunedin hospital after having to call an ambulance this morning for a fanily member with unusual sudden symptoms.

I finally left him there tonight doing fine after hours in several epartments, where we dealt with many backroom people who do teachnical stuff... quietly in their own way with no kudos.

You guys are doing machines & they are using a lot of swept-up machines to analyse bodies & their ailments.
You're all making a difference in your separate ways - and today I saw how computers make diagnosis of so many things so easy - and I'm just grateful for all of you...

237869 2004-05-22 02:18:00 I got logged on automatically. Whats all the fuss.

PressF1 seems to be excellent now. Did they change from Linux back to Windows?

(Just joking - they probably changed from Windows 95 to WinXP)

237870 2004-05-22 03:41:00 It seems that LDAP has been replaced as the password system by MySQL. LDAP was designed by a consortium of Microsoft, IBM. Lotuis, and Netscape as a "development" of x500.

But that's not the whole of the improvement. It's running at the proper Linux performance now. ;-) The MS speed analogy would probably be switching from XP to 95. Or 3.11. :D
