| 237974 | 2004-05-20 23:29:00 | Sweet... finally got me a hub... the house is now wired... all but one of my puters are WOL capable (have the WOL header on the M/board)... but my baby in the house (the rest are in the garage...) has onboard network... plus the WOL header... but... on the hub... when all puter are off... the link light to my baby is still on... does this mean it WOL capable...(BIOS set to yes) with out the cable going to the header... because normally... you would have a cable going from your NIC to your WOL header... but because the NIC is built in... it doesnt have that header... also what to use to send a magic packet... Ta Laters... Falcon... |

| 237975 | 2004-05-20 23:45:00 | My onboard LAN has WOL so your could be the same. I've disabled mine since a friends PC was waking at inappropriate times, like the middle of the night, with no input from him and connecting to the net. So unless you really want it leave it disabled. Cheers Murray P |
