Passed my A+ wasnt to happy with the content of the exams tho . . . all the Q's were very unclear (vague . sp) . . . and i didnt come across very many of the Q's that i read on the "brain dump" sites . . . altho they did help . . . basiclly . . . if you've get the generaly jist of how puters work . . . you should pass . . . there were some spacific (but not to many prob less than 10 out of 80) Q's like "Whats the max speed what ever can run @" . . . or how many whatevers can whetever have . . . . . . know the basics . . . ide basic networking CD/dvd media post codes maintance IRQ's DMA's I/O address's (primary video) Com ports . . . Windows tools and how to find each in each OS . . . 98 2K XP (didnt come accross any 3 . 1 or 95 . . . i think there was a Q or 2 on NT) know you services and tools . . . ie smtp http ftp . . . ping ipconfig/winipconf tracert also maybe the port num for each service . . . (only 1 Q on this ish) The hardware one was easey ish . . . the windows one was harder . . . only because it was unclear . . . ie . . . in 98 is it . . . add/remove . . . or . . . add and remove . . . or . . . add new . . . little things like that . . . so i guess my advise is . . . Answer the Q as it is . . . try not to read anything in to it . . . dont make it more complicated than it is . . . really there is only one right answer . . . oh yes . . . aparrently . . . in the past . . . they havent let you go back and have a look over the Q's @ the end . . . this year you can . . . in the 90 minutes . . . i managed to fully answer all the Q's . . . then briflly revisit all the Q's for a second time . . . and still have bout 10 ish minutes spare . . . also . . . it is a linier test . . . not adaptive . . . laters . . . sorry for rabbiting . . .
