| 237995 | 2004-05-20 08:32:00 | I'm in a bit of another site dilema. I use my homepage as a template for new pages. But if I decide to change my homepage on a later date I would then have to go back & change all the other existing pages. I know there's a way around this, but I don't know how. Cheers guys |

If that is the case you ought to be using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) as it allows you to make changes to a stylesheet which will then change all the pages that refer to it. | Susan B (19) | ||

Research templates based on the programming language used. php, asp, jsp etc all have relatively easy methods for using templates. | 238001 | 2004-05-21 13:29:00 | Here are some easy ideas. 1. In your shopping pages when you click for more info on a spear gun for instance have it load on the same page. ie remove target="_blank". 2. Not sure about using DW3 with templates I use MX and find them very awkward. 3. Make a new page called temp.htm with your general layout, tables make this easy, position your title, main menu buttons, and its nice to have text links at the bottom of the page that repeat the buttons at the top, also you can put contact and copyright info. Similar to this page 4. All you do is add your content to the page and Save As... Hope some of this helps, good luck. Rob ;\ |
