238115 2004-05-21 04:55:00 I run XP with about 8gig of spare HD space. I want to be able to copy a tv programme from my video to my computer, and then save it as an mpeg so I can put it onto a cd. I'm not worried about editing. Can you do this with something that comes with XP or do you need another programme. If another programme, what is a cheap reliable way of doing this that will not slow my computer to much? Aporosa (5671)
238116 2004-05-21 05:03:00 do you have a video capture card or video input ? if so what software came with it ? tweak'e (174)
238117 2004-05-21 05:06:00 No, no video capture card as far as I know, its a laptop and I'm a bit of a thick so and so with computers, but I can find my way round with a bit of patience Aporosa (5671)
238118 2004-05-21 05:12:00 You will need to purchase a USB TV-Capture device then. Qmb Computers (qmb.co.nz) have one or two at a reasonable Price, this is the sorta thing you're after:
www.qmb.co.nz

It comes with all the software you should need :-)
