238063 2004-05-21 00:43:00 Morning all,

We've placed some video onto DVD that's been dumped from a vid cam into AVI and then made into a DVD video. The tapes have been cleared, the AVIs wiped - and now someone wants to cut a 5 minute clip from one of the DVDs to put into a power point presentation.

Had a look at various video editing suites, had looked at the one I have (Ulead Video Workshop) but can't seem to find any way of slicing a segment from a DVD...is this not possible?

Any help greatly appreciated.

238064 2004-05-21 00:59:00 DVDShrink can edit DVD's (i.e. start, finish clips) ... perhaps create the DVD with the edited clip... burn to an image on the hard drive... mount the image with Daemon Tools... and then rip the clip to avi format!

Easiest "freeware" way of doing it.

Lo.
