Yes, but they are part of and taken care of the operating system, ie Windows . The msconfig apps are the extra programs that you have installed that start up when Windows starts up . They are not part of Windows . Regarding printers, scanners, etc, quite often you will find related bits and pieces scattered throughout msconfig and I usually clear them all out . Why should we wait for them all to load and then hog resources in the background when we don't need to use them everytime the computer is switched on?
