| 238043 | 2004-05-21 12:18:00 | i can also say i've not partitpated in any of their "promotions" like rewards if u bring in new members or take part in auctions etcetc i havent dont anything and havent been forced to or anything so i reckon u all just need to sign up and give it a go.. if there is spam or anything then u can complain go the Advertising standards authority as well as whoever is fighting for spam laws in NZ as i'm sure they'd use this as a example...get you to sign up to something and then spam u all they want.. which i can say they DONT... so i challenge u all..sign up..then come back in a week or so and see if u can still say Smile city is a scam when its NOT... |

| 238044 | 2004-05-21 19:15:00 | Does that essentialy negate what I said. No. | mikebartnz (21) | ||
| 238045 | 2004-05-21 19:54:00 | > Any mob that makes you "sign up" before you can enter > is only doing it for one reason. SPAM. Watch out, ChatF1's going to start spamming people :p, cause you had to enter an email to signup :D Spam ahoy! On that note, have you signed up yet ]:) But yes all things considered SmileCity does look like a bit of a scam, at least from the outside, but having never used it I can't really speculate. And dont most people have a separate spam-able email address used solely for signing things up, I know I do :) (Not to mention SpamAssassin on all my domain mail accounts). Regards, nz_liam |

Its a bit like having several mail boxes. Why would you? ISPs don't tell customers to use other ISPs. I only learned that you could when I joined PF1. People think Hotmail et al only exist for when you are away from home, such as overseas, or you don't have your own internet connection. |
