238041 2004-05-21 12:12:00 i can say i am a member of smilecity
and i can also say i dont get any spam from them the only emails i get from them is their "monthly" email or emails i REQUEST otherwise i get none.....
and i can also say if u sign up then decide to cancell membership there is no aftermath of it...no spamming nothing as i cancelled it on 1 of my accounts and continued another ina different email address and yeah no spam..

try it out before accusing or assuming....

238043 2004-05-21 12:18:00 i can also say i've not partitpated in any of their "promotions" like rewards if u bring in new members or take part in auctions etcetc i havent dont anything and havent been forced to or anything so i reckon u all just need to sign up and give it a go..
if there is spam or anything then u can complain go the Advertising standards authority as well as whoever is fighting for spam laws in NZ as i'm sure they'd use this as a example...get you to sign up to something and then spam u all they want.. which i can say they DONT...

so i challenge u all..sign up..then come back in a week or so and see if u can still say Smile city is a scam when its NOT...

Watch out, ChatF1's going to start spamming people :p, cause you had to enter an email to signup :D Spam ahoy!

On that note, have you signed up yet ]:)

But yes all things considered SmileCity does look like a bit of a scam, at least from the outside, but having never used it I can't really speculate.

And don’t most people have a separate spam-able email address used solely for signing things up, I know I do :) (Not to mention SpamAssassin on all my domain mail accounts).

Actually most people don't know about having multiple addresses. Its a bit like having several mail boxes. Why would you? ISPs don't tell customers to use other ISPs. I only learned that you could when I joined PF1.

People think Hotmail et al only exist for when you are away from home, such as overseas, or you don't have your own internet connection.

Babe in the wood here.

Why would I want 2 email addresses anyway,?
