| 238157 | 2004-05-21 05:20:00 | I have jusr replaced Aida 32 with Everest. It reports my system temperature as: m/board 25 c., cpu 26 c., Aux.25 c., and my Sata hard disk as 39 c.. Have a got a good system or is this just a lot of bull**** ? Jack |

(If it could send an email when something was wrong, like my UPS software does than that would be fantastic). I have a Gigabyte Mobo, but can be bothered using their utility. Regards, nz_liam :) |

| 238164 | 2004-05-21 23:02:00 | I would only "believe" 24deg C cpu temperature if the computer is in an environment at about 9-10dec C, [or the computer is switched off :) ]assuming a heatsink and fan, watercooling is a different matter. Just think for a moment about the simple physics of the situation. |

| 238166 | 2004-05-22 07:30:00 | well terry about that 24 degree temp .......P4's do run cool and right now my system's been on all day since 5.30am and that's 13 hours and it's been doing very little admittably but it's reading cpu24 mobo29 right now............now how the hell do I know if that is correct or not ?........guess I have to believe it ?........after all an amd which is reputed to run 'hot' will usually run about 45 from startup.......where from startup if I dont do anything much cept surf and chek emails will start at about 12 degrees and slowly rise to it's current level...........but it does take a while.......guess temps depend on where the temp monitor is actually situated............anyone els gotta P4 to compare.. ? (P4 2.4c ghz - 800fsb 512Mb 128MbGEForce fx5200 - standard fans) |
